Katherine graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She went on to serve five years in the U.S. Navy and became one of the first female Naval Officers in history to qualify as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard a combatant ship.
As a resident of Martinez, Katherine has actively sought out ways to contribute to the community. She served as the Economic Development Chairperson for the Main Street Martinez Organization in 2000-2002, and is currently a member of the Martinez Kiwanis Club and serves as a Park and Recreation Commissioner. Katherine and her family have been members of their local church in Martinez for the past five years and look forward to many years of active service.
